Salmon Tartare
Serves 4
Ingredients
- ½ lb. sushi grade salmon diced
- 1 small english cucumber minced
- ½ large shallot minced
- 1 serrano thinly sliced (use less if you don’t like too spicy)
- 2 Tbsp thinly sliced green onion plus more for serving
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp mirin
- ½ tsp sesame oil
- ½ of a lemon juiced
- ½ of a lime juiced
- 1 Tbsp kewpie mayo
- ½ avocado small diced
- Extra virgin olive oil for serving
- Fried rice paper or sushi rice for serving (or any chip you’d like to eat it with!)
Instructions
- Gently mix salmon, cucumber, shallot, serrano, green onion, soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, lemon juice, lime juice, and kewpie until mixed thoroughly. *
- Serve topped with diced avocado, a drizzle of olive oil, sliced green onions, and fried rice paper on the side.
Notes
*This is best when everything is super cold! I like to put all the veggies in the fridge so that they are super cold when I go to cut them! You can even cut everything up, and the transfer it to the fridge to chill. Once chilled, you can then proceed with adding all the seasonings 🙂
