¾cupall purpose flour
¼cupoat flour
½tspsalt
¼tspbaking soda
¼tspbaking powder
1cupchocolate chips or chopped chocolate
Flaky salt
Vanilla ice creamfor serving
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375ºF.
In a 10 inch cast iron (or any 10 inch oven safe skillet), melt butter and continue cooking, stirring constantly, until browned.
Pour butter into a medium bowl and add in both sugars. Stir to combine.
Add in egg and vanilla. Whisk until the mixture comes together and lightens in color slightly, about 2 minutes.
Add in flour, oat flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Mix until combined.
Fold in chocolate chips, reserving a few for the top.
Add dough into the same pan you browned the butter in. Top with reserved chocolate and a sprinkle of flaky salt.
Bake until golden, about 20- 25 minutes.
Let cool slightly in the pan and serve warm with ice cream.
Notes
**Oat flour can be made by blending old fashioned or quick cook oats in a blender until powdery.***If you only have a 12 inch skillet you can double the recipe and increase the bake time :)
